Whether or nor death penalty should continue as an option of punishment is a different matter. There cannot however be any comparison between the vase of Kasab and Kodnani. While the former was caught on the spot having himself shot from the fire arm and killed several persons and as such an absolutely clean case of the rarest of the rare kind. The case of Kodnani on the other hand is based on conspiracy theory in a riot situation and no personal participation. Even hanging of Kehar Singh was improper.

Although gender determination tests and female foeticide etc are absolutely banned bV laws and Institutions like NLRD have been created to fight gender bias etc, the practice of female foeticide and dowry harassment and related deaths are widely prevalent through out India in both Urban and Rural areas. Legal awareness and education of women and their families regarding the banning of gender determination tests except in cases of detection of genetic disorders, Awareness of legal banning of female foeticide and demand for dowry and equal legal rights of a girl child etc. and not to see female children in a poor light and that they should be treated on par with their male counter parts would all go to help in a long way to eradicate such abhorrent practices and ultimate disappearance of Gender Bias in our Indian Society. All the gender justice laws and their implementation should be properly monitored and transparency should be brought in their implementation and enforcement.. Frequent social audits should be conducted to oversee their/Gender Justice Laws proper implementation.
