CHIEF JUSTICE OF INDIA SHRI S H KAPADIA ASKS ALL HIGH COURTS AND SUPREME COURT TO FAST TRACK CORRUPTION CASES

 

The Chief Justice of India S H Kapadia has directed the Supreme Court, all High Courts and districts courts in the country to put all corruption related cases on “fast track” on priority basis. In letters to Chief Justices of High Courts and districts courts, the CJI has asked them to ensure that all cases registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 be “fast tracked and taken up for hearing on priority basis”, Secretary General of the Supreme Court A I S Cheema said. Similar directive has been issued to the Supreme Court registry to process the list of corruption cases to be put “high on board”, he said.

  1. ITS BETTTER LATE THAN NEVER. VERY POSITIVE STEP TAKEN TO RESTORE SOME CONFIDENCE IN COMMON MAN.

  2. While the fast tracking of PC Act cases is welcome, the Hon’ble CJI should also consider fast tracking the pending matters under Section 197 of CrPC.

  3. My name is manjari tripathi.This family is suffering in supreme court for 2006 due to some fault in arrengment in fixing date for final haering which is misutilised by my opposite party P.N.B. with power and pelf while supreme court is surking pain in petition concerning job number 20078/2008
